I was feeling better. As soon as I left the island of Ireland, I wasn’t tired all the time anymore.
I had a long day of travel ahead of me, when I woke up and began leaving Belfast. I made my way to the City Hall by foot where basically all the buses depart. After walking around a little aimlessly I found the station where bus 96 departs – my ride towards the ferry terminal and the first of six rides of the day. The bus arrived and dropped me of right in front of the ferry terminal. That’s how you do it.
The ferry itself was nice as well. I just took about two hours to get from Belfast to Cairnryan. And luckily there was actually a bit of sun while we left Northern Ireland. The coastline was very beautiful as well. Just like the coastline on the other side.
The first thing I did in Scotland was missing my bus though. I thought it was just dropping off some people and then turning around to get to the station, but no. It just drove off into the distance without me.
Luckily there was another bus comind who everyone else took and which was about one hour faster than my plan. I wanted to take a bus to Girvan Harbour, then a train to Ayr and then another to Glasgow. This bus took us directly to Glasgow.
In Glasgow I just changed stations and took my train to Edinburgh. Which is crazy. Not the train, that was alright, but Edinburgh. It feels like this city is built on two to three different floors with massive bridges and historic buildings everywhere. I have never seen a city like this and am really sad that I only stayed there for one night. But, since it was the first time since London that I felt alright, I walked through the city the whole evening and took a look at the Christmas Market and the buildings in general. I went to bed a bit earlier though, since I had to catch my train to London at 09:30 the next morning. Or at least I tried to, because there was a guy snoring in my room, which is a circumstance that granted me a whole 2,5 hours of sleep that night. It was not good. Not at all.
