London again. – Stop 1

Another trip, abother journal. I’m currently on my way to Holyhead to take the ferry to Dublin after spending two amazing nights in London. Not every detail of what happened will be included in this text for… reasons, but a lot happened and I took all of it in. As best as I could.

I arrived on Thursday after twelve hours of trains and made my way to the familiar place-to-be: the Urbany Hostel. I’ve been there for one night in the Summer on the first attempt of this trip with Marvin. We turned around after that, but the night at Urbany was amazing! For… reasons. Again. Either way, the staff is just amazing and it’s so so easy to connect with everyone. Surely one of the best hostels I’ve been to in that regard. It just feels like a small family every time. And funnily enough a few staff members from the summer were still there.

In London my missions were to plan my trip and reserve the seats for a few upcoming rides. And this time (unlike in summer) taking the Eurostar back on Interrail worked out! Saved 200 Euros right there. And I’m going to Paris that way, which is nice. Just for a few hours, but still. It is a good trip when you can go to Paris on the way home.

I also bought myself a new pair of Jeans at a retro shop at Oxford Circus and had breakfast at the Thames. I just love London. There is so much going on and everything just works.

Totally wrong chronological order, but the ride to London itself was a bit wild already. I talked to a very wise taiwanese business man for at least an hour in a train and went to a hardware store in Brussels. Two actually. I forgot my UK-Adapter and padlock at home like an idiot, because who needs those things for a trip to the UK and Ireland.

Both nights in London we went partying with the hostels and had some predrinks and played games. The predrinks were alcohol free for me, obviously. The juice was a bit too sweet tho. Anyway. I also went ice skating with a couple of guys at winter wonderland in Hyde Park, which is basically a giant fare with rides, food and anything that a fare usually has.

I think that’s about it. Probably not, because so much happened, but that’s for sure everything I can think of right now.

I will continue to enjoy the sound of the Welsh language and my train ride now.

See you on the other side (of the Irish Sea, that is).

Thank you for reading!
